‘Brilliant’ Christmas plans unveiled

The Saturday ceremony, which will be attended by town dignitaries plus some special guests who are yet to be announced, is scheduled for the day after Weston Carnival, which organisers hope will add to the celebratory atmosphere.
The 5pm switch-on ceremony will take place in the Italian Gardens in High Street, and will see Weston Town Council-funded lights turned on along High Street, Grove Village, Waterloo Street, the Boulevard, St James Street, Meadow Street and Alexandra Parade.
